Dean has been working as an English language instructor in Japan and Canada since 1989 and with English for Asia in Macau since 2024. He has taught English to all levels of students ranging from elementary to university as well as corporate business training and classes for immigrants. Dean also served as an assessor for the Canadian Language Benchmarks, responsible for evaluating learners’ English language proficiency across listening, speaking, reading and writing dimensions using national standards. He encourages students to take an active role in helping to determine their own goals for studying English and believes in providing a great deal of feedback to learners to help them measure if these goals are being met.

Emmett has been working as an English language instructor in China since 2010. His experience includes teaching conversational English, academic English and business English to a range of levels and proficiencies from kindergarten, primary, junior high school, university and adult. Emmett enjoys seeing students engaged in learning and strives to equip students with learning skills that will help them learn more beyond the classroom. Emmett also enjoys music and singing and often uses this to enliven his lessons and enrich the learning experience for his students.

Mitchell is an experienced teacher with a broad knowledge of curriculums offered worldwide. He is a firm believer of Phonics as a method to help students master the sounds of English and to become independent readers and writers of English. Mitch has worked at numerous schools in Macao, teaching English to both students and staff. At our Learning Centre Mitch teaches students with a range of proficiency levels, ranging from Beginner to Advanced. Mitchell has a keen interest in politics and current events. He is also an animal lover, enjoys gardening and has a wide collection of model trains.

Ron has joined EfA in 2016. He is passionate about one-to-one teaching, the use of technology and the future of online education. His experience ranges from teaching multi-lingual classes, Business English, IELTS, English Online, General English and Conversational English to a range of age groups and proficiency levels. At EfA, Ron is teaching on a variety of programmes, including corporate projects.

She specializes in creating lesson plans, assessments, and curricula aligned with CAPS, SA-SAMS, TEFL, and K12 methods, while enhancing student engagement through dynamic teaching strategies and extracurricular activities. Her roles have equipped her with strong skills in teaching young learners, preparing students for competitions, and fostering collaborative learning environments. Ralisha excels at teaching English as a second language, mentoring students academically, and leading activities such as speech competitions and workshops. She is SACE registered and proficient in both online and face-to-face instruction.
