Health and Safety Guidelines
In accordance with the updated directions provided by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), all educational providers must follow the DSEDJ guidelines to provide a safe and hygienic environment. Therefore, we respectfully request all English for Asia students, parents and staff to continue to strictly adhere to the following procedures until further notice:
General Rules
- Parents/Guardians are requested not to wait inside the learning centre; however, normal collection of children is welcomed
- Parents are welcome to make enquiries/payments on a one-by-one basis, during which time the other parents are kindly requested to wait their turn outside
- Complete and submit the “Macao Health Code” using the App and present a screenshot on your mobile device to staff before entering the learning centre. To download the App, click here https://eservice.ssm.gov.mo/covidapps/
- A venue QR Code is placed outside each Learning Centre. Parents/guardians and students are welcome to scan it with their Macao Health Code App (for the governments tracing record)
- Anyone presenting a red or yellow “Macao Health Code” are not permitted to enter the learning centre and must follow the necessary guidelines and procedures provided by SSM
- Have your temperature checked before entering
- Wear a medical-grade face mask
- Complete a visitor log
- Use hand sanitizer regularly (provided in the learning centre)
- Minimize time spent in the lobby and waiting areas to avoid overcrowding
- Ensure you wash your hands regularly (especially after using the restroom)
- Use tissues and alcohol spray to sanitize surfaces you have used (provided in the learning centre)
- Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze (even when wearing a face mask)
- Please avoid sharing foods, snacks, or drinking from the same cup/bottle
Classroom Rules
- Students and Teachers must maintain a reasonable distance from each other
- A maximum of 9 students are permitted in each classroom at any given time
If you display any cold, flu or fever symptoms, please inform reception staff immediately.
If you begin to feel unwell, please do not attend classes and inform us immediately so we may take further preventative steps.
Our Teachers
- Our teachers are required to:
- submit daily ‘Health Declarations’
- undergo daily temperature checks
- wear medical-grade face masks or face shields at all times
- avoid any physical contact with students (such as a greeting with a handshake)
- use hand sanitizer products and ensure hands are washed regularly
